Tips For Keeping Your Dog Happy
The amount of time spent with your dog will have an effect on their health and overall happiness. Taking some time out of your day to spend with your dog is always important, and helps keep your relationship active. All pets come with responsibilities, and one of those main responsibilities is to keep them entertained as much as you are able to.
Toys are the most obvious form of entertainment, but they can still bore your pet depending on the depth of their toy box. A good idea is to buy a range of around 10 toys, and place 3 of these toys inside your dog kennels and run. After a week, take those 3 toys off him and give him 3 new ones. After another week, repeat the process. On the last week, remove all of the toys for the time being; otherwise your dog will begin to rely on new toys every week.
Another obvious choice would be dog walks. The trick is to take your dog to new areas each day, and create small games for each chosen environment. Your dog will enjoy exploring the new scenery, thus keeping them entertained and occupied. It’s also a good idea to take one of their favourite toys with you, as this can create some fun for both you and your dog.
The key is to find out which toys excite your dog, and which ones don’t. You can then use this to your advantage and equip yourself with goodies for your dog to keep them happy and excited.
